- Last day to register 5:00pm Monday, September 13, 2010
- Recruitment Orientation: Thursday, September 16, 2010
- Location: Houston Room, located on the second floor of the UC.
- This is a chance to meet all the other women going through recruitment and meet with your recruitment counselors (rho gammas). We will go through the process step-by-step, and you will be able to ask any questions.
- Day 1: Sisterhood Day – Friday, September 17, 2010
- Location: Bayou Oaks Apartment complex. (5019 Calhoun Rd.) Check-in will be in the lounge area.
- This is the first day of the recruitment process. You will visit all six sorority houses and you will learn about each chapter’s involvement on campus and within the Greek community.
- Day 2: Philanthropy Day – Saturday, September 18, 2010
- On this day, you will visit 4 houses after your choices are narrowed. Those 4 houses will explain their philanthropy and events they host to raise money for their philanthropy.
- Day 3: Preference Day/ Bid Night – Sunday, September 19, 2010
- Your choices at the beginning of this day will be narrowed down to two groups. This is the most special day as you will get a peek inside the more serious, ritual side of the sororities.
What to Wear:
- Day 1 “Sisterhood Day”
- For the first day of recruitment you are provided with a t-shirt. You can pair this with any slacks, capris, jeans or skirt of your choice. Remember to be comfortable as this is a long day.
- Day 2 “Philanthropy Day”
- This round is a little dressier. Most women wear sundresses or a nice pair of slacks and a dressy shirt.
- Day 3 “Preference Day”
- On the final round of recruitment, potential new members should wear something that you would wear to church or in any modest setting. This is the most formal attire for the recruitment process.
